Your horse-crazy elementary-aged child is invited to join us at Davis Ranch Leicester for Pony Scouts, a 6-week after-school horsemanship program! Pony Scouts is designed to foster a love of horses, build confidence, and develop a sense of responsibility and compassion for animals in a fun and safe environment.

Each week will include snack and social time, a mini-lesson led by qualified instructors, and structured hands-on time with the horses to learn essential care and handling skills. Possible topics may include:

* Safe horse handling, care, and groundwork skills

* Horse behavior, herd dynamics, and communication 

* Workshops or demonstrations with visiting equine professionals 

* Equine feeding and nutrition 

* Identifying and treating basic wounds and illnesses

We welcome children of all abilities and experience levels, and aim to provide a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages confidence, creativity, and fun!
